Fairytale Fitness is a children’s series of books written by a personal trainer and designed to teach about nutrition and healthy living/eating habits from young in a colorfully illustrated, positive and fun way!
The books are designed to teach in such a way that children will have no idea they are learning healthy lessons for life. They will only know the characters, colorful illustrations and fun storylines. They will not realize they are learning about nutrition and fitness. In fact, adults may not either! |

Currently 1 in 4 children aged 2-5 are overweight/obese.(2) 66% of adult Americans are already overweight and/or obese.(4) Being overweight/obese before age 7 greatly increases likelihood (approx. 70-80% more likely according to the CDC and Surgeon General) to be overweight/obese in adulthood.…therefore setting the stage for many lifelong health issues. This can be easily prevented!!

effort. And fourth is buying the entire series… Just Kidding. Fourth step is Just making effort. (just do it!) Especially with kids, a little effort (developing healthy habits, education) now will go a long, long way in the future.
Setting the stage in this way from young and increasing likelihood of such problems into adulthood is extremely heartbreaking because it can be so easily prevented. 66% of Americans are already overweight and/or obese (4). And as we all have probably experienced it is already hard enough to change habits and lose weight gained in just one year, let alone from at age 5.
This all can be combated through awareness and easy methods of prevention which is what these books and this website attempts to do.
Included in this website are easy and realistic tips on what kids and parents can do to combat and/or prevent childhood obesity. Here you can also preview, ask questions, and purchase any of the series of books in Fitness Fairytales that children will enjoy and learn from at an early age. |
